What the report measures, and where it stops

Each diagnostic visit produces a written record: measured values against the manufacturer range, the technician's own observations, and a plain statement of what the document cannot promise. The ₴650 fee including VAT 20% is confirmed before any work begins.

Measured values

Battery voltage
12.6 V rest / 14.1 V charge
Front brake pad thickness
7.4 mm
Tyre tread, four corners
6.1 / 6.4 / 5.9 / 6.3 mm
Coolant concentration
−37 °C
Stored fault codes
2 pending, 0 active

Technician notes

Free-text entries are written by the technician who performed the check, in plain language. They record what was seen, heard, or measured on the day, plus any component flagged for the next interval. Notes are not a quotation and do not authorise parts or labour.

Limits of the report

  • Covers only the systems listed on the job sheet. Components not inspected are not assessed.
  • Describes condition at the time of measurement. It does not guarantee future condition or remaining service life.
  • Does not replace a manufacturer campaign notice or an official roadworthiness inspection.

Sample document

How the diagnostic report is laid out

One page, five blocks, always in the same order. A measured value can be checked against the manufacturer range and quoted later without asking the technician what it meant.

Sample report, 2019 Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI. Owner details and plate are masked.
  1. 1

    Vehicle and visit header

VIN, plate, odometer at intake, date, and the technician who held the bay. The odometer reading anchors every interval that follows.

  2. 2

    Measured values against range

Each reading sits beside the manufacturer tolerance, so a battery at 11.9 V or a pad at 3 mm is judged on the number, not on opinion.

  3. 3

    Fault codes and status

Stored and pending codes are listed with the module they came from, and whether the code was cleared or left for the next visit.

  4. 4

    Parts and labour lines

Part tier (OEM-equivalent, aftermarket or refurbished), quantity, labour hours at the posted rate, and VAT 20% in the same block.

  5. 5

    Technician notes and sign-off

Free-text findings, the reviewer's name, and the date the report was closed. The same summary is filed into the maintenance history record.

The diagnostic fee is ₴650 including VAT 20%, stated before work starts. Read the fee disclosure or see how each report is filed into the vehicle history.

Fee disclosure

The diagnostic fee is agreed before any work starts

A diagnostic visit costs ₴650 including VAT 20%. The amount is written down, you confirm it, and only then does the technician open the bonnet and start logging measured values.

Amount
₴650 including VAT 20%. One fee per vehicle visit, whatever the fault turns out to be.
When it is quoted
At booking and again at reception, before the car goes onto the ramp. Nothing is charged without your verbal or written go-ahead.
What it covers
Ramp time, scan-tool readings, road test where needed, and the written diagnostic report with fault codes and technician notes.
If you approve the repair
The fee is credited against the labour line of that repair on the same visit. Parts are billed separately and never bundled into the fee.
Documentation
A VAT invoice covers the fee, and the report is issued with the same reference number kept in your maintenance history record.

Open items are listed as exclusions in the report rather than priced as extra work. Read what the report contains before you book.

What every history record holds

One entry per visit, filed under the vehicle plate and VIN. The fields below are identical whether you booked an oil service or a full interval package.

Date and odometer
Entry date, plus the mileage read at intake and again at handover.
Package and items
The named package, every service item carried out, and anything declined on the estimate.
Parts with tier labels
Each part line marked OEM-equivalent, aftermarket, or refurbished, with quantity and unit price.
Labor
Hours multiplied by the posted hourly rate, recorded per operation rather than as a lump sum.
VAT invoice
Invoice number and the 20% VAT line, matching the paper copy handed over at pickup.
Diagnostic summary
Measured values and technician notes from the report, attached to the same entry.
Next interval
Recommended mileage or date for the following service, set by the work just completed.
